Thermal Layers Regulate Your Temperature

Nowadays thermal layers are made from polyamide fiber, which is lighter and better performing than polyester.

<<>>Both are man made. The benefit of these materials is that they keep your body both dry and warm. Essentially wearing cotton jumpers and T shirts won't keep you warm after exercise. Simply because cotton fibers absorb moisture as your body warms.

When you stop your winching, hauling or lifting, then the moisture in your clothes will cool you down. So Polyamide has taken over the job. This fabric is designed to allow moisture to pass through it as it comes in to contact with your skin. So instead of accumulating in the fabric the moisture is removed. The advantage comes when you sit down after exercise. No moisture so no loss of warmth!

These fabrics when used properly will allow you to have more fun and enjoy yourself in adverse conditions. Much better than endless cups of tea to stay warm!
