Anchor lines - overview

As we know anchor lines need to be able to resist a lot of force. imagine those forces for a minute.

<<>> The anchor is buried in the sea floor, the tide is running, pulling the boat with it.

If the rope breaks, then it's a bad situation. These warps are not made from the same materials as others. Instead they are made from shock resistant, braided, nylon core. Or stranded nylon or polyester. These materials offer strength and endurance in all conditions.

Each time you use the hook, check your warps to make sure they have not suffered any damage. This is important if you have moored off a rocky shore, where it is likely to have rocks on the sea floor. A fun way to check, if the sea is warm, with flipper and snorkel. Jump off and follow the warp to wear it is secured to the anchor. that is if the water is not too deep!
